April 29, 2004 - May 2, 2004 MEN WHO LOVE MEN RETREAT

This experiential, intimate three-day transformational workshop offers an intensive personal growth and learning experience for gay/bisexual men in the context of a safe, loving, nurturing, supportive and inclusive spiritual community. Together, sharing our successes and struggles, we teach and empower each other to embrace our limits, challenge our fears, learn new skills and nurture ourselves towards becoming all we aspire to be.  Cost: $345

 


May 28-31, 2004   MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION (A Gathering & Celebration of Our Community)

Open house/work weekend and celebration of our rich diverse community!  We begin on Friday with a potluck supper (bring your best dish) and some community-building activities. Saturday we tend to the temple and gardens of Dawn Manor.  Sunday and Monday will be for the celebration of the rich diversity in our community with an open invitation for you to share your gifts, skills and talents with each other or just soak in the hot tub under the stars.  $65 donation to cover food and expenses.

 


July 22-25, 2004   MEN WHO LOVE MEN RETREAT

This experiential, intimate three-day workshop/retreat offers an experience of personal growth and compassionate exploration in the context of a safe, loving, supportive and inclusive spiritual community. Loving is an art. The Skills of Loving can be learned through seeing, hearing, extending goodwill and recognizing that all people have the right to think and feel as
they do. Practicing these skills can allow us to be fully present in all our relationships. Cost: $345

We are spirits, embodiments of the Divine.  While living in our Human bodies, we suffer from afflictions which stem from forgetting who we truly are.   However, through our bodies we can also re-connect through our true nature and begin to experience our Divine Essence.  During this weekend, we will focus on returning to our natural abilities to heal by using our senses and our bodies as vehicles of healing.  Come and discover the treasures that reside within you.  We are all healers!  Join us for exploration, study, reflection, and celebration in the company of other great men! Sacred relationships hold the highest opportunity for personal growth and transformation, Gay people are the most diverse population on the planet, therefore our relationships also resist conformity. The Lovers Retreat will provide a safe opportunity  to celebrate, explore and learn from each others successes and failures and discover the uniqueness and similarities of same gender spiritual/sexual relationships and how we can honor and utilize them for our  individual and collective transformation.  Look upon the face of the Divine through the eyes of your lovers. $ 595  per couple

Dan Pienciak is a trained counselor, group dynamics facilitator, experienced retreat director, and certified holistic practitioner.  He holds a masters degree in theology and pastoral counseling.  Dan has trained extensively with Daniel Tomasulo, PhD in group dynamics and psychodrama, with the late Peter Hendrickson (founder of the "Honoring Our Journey" workshops for gay men) in retreat facilitation, and has been certified in "the Art of Loving"  He is a Reiki master, practices Integrated Energy Therapy and Thai Yoga bodywork, and is an accredited and experienced instructor in T'ai Chi Chih for seven years.  (732) 988-5865  

 

Ethan Waltz, LMT is a professional massage therapist and transformational healer with extensive experience as a group facilitator. He currently studies alternative, touch, body, yoga, healing modalities and Training in the Art of Loving. Sunfire has extensive training from the Body Electric School, including diplomas in massage therapy, rebirthing, and sacred intimacy. He has also studied meditation, journaling, and Advanced Energy Healing, and has led workshops that combine spirituality with bodywork since 1988. He is the editor of TOUCHING BODY AND SPIRIT, a quarterly publication on spirituality as it relates to the lives of gay men. Dan Roberts, founder of ManSoma Bodywork for Men, has a long history in healthcare, including over 13 years on staff at a rehabilitation hospital. Having worked in hospitals in Chicago, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C., Dan now maintains a highly successful private therapy practice near Reading, Pennsylvania. In addition to being certified in massage and muscle therapy, Dan has experience in movement therapy, fitness therapy, and sex counseling.  He teaches classes in therapeutic yoga at a major local yoga studio and trains professional and amateur athletes in various stretching techniques.  Dan began developing ManSomassage in the mid-1980s as a simple method of helping a male become aware of and connect with various elements of his being, i.e. physical, emotional, and spiritual.  Since then ManSomassage has evolved and matured over the years until it now brings health and healing to a great number of men every year, some of whom travel as far as 100 miles or more to receive this special bodywork on a regular basis.
